Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Trinity Reformed Church for John De Kock, 86, of Orange City, who passed away at the Orange City (probably hospital), September 14, with Rev. N. Reck officiating.

Born in Pella, IA, in 1874, he was married to Hattie De Jong in 1903. They were the parents of six children; Marion of Hawarden; Iola (Mrs. Peter Raak) of Orange City; Vernon, of Sioux Center; Harvey of Fort Dodge. Two sons, James & Lester, and Mrs. De Kock preceeded him in death. There are six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. De Kock was a resident in the Pioneer Home, since the death of his wife, Mrs. De Kock.

A brief ceremony was held at the Pioneer Home Saturday. Interment was made in the Maurice Cemetery.
