Herman Van't Hul, 79, Orange City, died suddenly at his home January 29.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 31 in the First Reformed Church. Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiated. Casket bearers were Roger Van Gorp, Kent Van't Hul, Doug Van't Hof, David Van Gorp, Mark Van't Hul and Lowell Van Gorp. Mrs. Gerald Korver had the special music and the organist was Mr. Herbert Ritsema. Interment was in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center.

Mr. Van't Hul was born on November 13, 1901, at Carmel, Iowa. He attended school and lived his youth in the Hull vicinity. He married Tillie Mouw of Hull on May 5, 1926. Their married life was lived in rural Hull, moving to Orange City in 1966.

He is survived by his widow Tillie, one son and three daughters, Frances Van Gorp of Orange City, William of Doon, Emogene (Mrs. Kenneth Van't Hof) of Alton, Beulah (Mrs. Dennis Beltman) of Orange City; eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, John of Houston, Tx., and Jake of Hull; three sisters, Mrs. Trace Vander Schaaf of Hull, Mrs. Fanny Ten Haken of Hull and Mrs. Coba Vander Garde of Boyden.

A similar, somewhat shorter, obituary in the Rock Valley Bee (Feb. 5) gives the cause of death as an apparent heart attack. It states that he was a farmer near Hull, retiring to Orange City in 1966, and gives his sisters' names as Mrs. Harry Vander Schaaf, Mrs. John Ten Haken, and Mrs. Coba Vande Garde.
