SHELDON -- Wilmina Van't Hul, 71, Sheldon, died Sunday, Dec. 11, at Northwest Iowa Health Center Senior Care in Sheldon.
Services were Thursday, Dec. 15, at Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon, with the Rev. Marilyn Rensink officiating. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Wilmina Van't Hul, daughter of John A. and Henrietta (Sandbulte) Schuitemen, was born Oct. 9, 1934, east of Sioux Center. She graduated from Sioux Center High School. She married Bernard Van't Hul on Feb. 19, 1954, in Sioux Center. They resided in Rock Valley until moving to Sheldon in 1960.

Her passion in life was her children and their families. She was a member of Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon, where she served as church secretary for several years. Later, she was employed at Koele's Accounting. She was active in Ladies Circle and "An Evening in December" productions. She was a past president of the Northwest Iowa Health Center Auxiliary in Sheldon. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, interior decorating, collecting lighthouses, art and sports.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard "Bernie" Van't Hul of Sheldon; five children, Barbara and Donald Johnson of Archer, Odean Van't Hul of Chesapeake, VA, Rhonda Holland of Boise, ID, Diane and Dr. Anthony Carr of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and David and Brandie Van't Hul of Owatonna, MN; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Art and Frances Schuitemen of Sioux Center, and Robert and Helene Schuitemen of Sheldon; two sisters, Delma and John B. Broek of Sioux Center, and Norma and Norman De Jongh of Luverne, MN; and two sisters-in-law, Wilmina Schuitemen of Sioux Center, and Lyda Van't Hul of Hull.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tommy Johnson; and a brother, Arvin Schuitemen.
