Sheldon - Evadean Brink Duimstra, 91, Sheldon, died Monday, Feb. 25, at Northwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M., today (Saturday, March 2) at Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon, with the Rev. Brian Keepers officiating. A graveside service will be at 10 A.M., at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, under the direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Evadean Duimstra, daughter of Albert & Nellie (Van Beek) Ten Kley, was born Jan. 4, 1911 in Rock Valley.

She married Clarence A. Brink on Feb. 14, 1935 at her parents farm home near Ritter. They farmed in the Ritter, Archer and north of Melvin areas. They later purchased a farm between Ritter and Matlock where they farmed for several years. Mr. Brink died May 12, 1968 in Sheldon. She moved into Sheldon and was employed at the Ben Franklin Store and at Graham's Department Store. She married Jack Duimstra in 1991, in Primghar. They made their home in Sheldon. Mr. Duimstra died in 1995. She moved to the Oak Park Care Center in Sheldon in July 2000.

She was a charter member of Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon and was involved in many activities in her church. She was a member of the Northwest Iowa Health Center Auxiliary and served as a volunteer at both Oak Park Care Center and Village Northwest Unlimied in Sheldon. She enjoyed quilting and was known as a gifted seamstress.

Survivors include her children, Raymond & Dorothy Brink of Sheldon; Karen & Derek Vander Schaaf of Pawleys Island, SC; Rodney & Bonnie Brink of Marion; Donna & Jerry Harmison of West Des Moines; and Cal & Linda Brink of Mitchellville; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, John A. & Dorothy Ten Kley of Sheldon; a sister, Marie & Jack Chase of Fairfield Bay, AR; and a sister-in-law Adrianna Ten Kley of Sheldon.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence A. Brink, and Jack Duimstra; a grandchild; four brothers, Pete Ten Kley, Dick Ten Kley, Henry Ten Kley and Wilmer Ten Kley; and two sisters, Margaret DeBoer and Wilmina Ten Kley.
