From the Alton Democrat of Sep 24, 1898 Hull News.
The remains of Miss Lizzie Settle, who died at her home in Lowry MO of consumption on Thursday, Sept. 15th 1898, were brought here for interment Saturday. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church Saturday afternoon, Rev. Mahood officiating.
(The family as outlined in an account on acestry.com – Father John M. Settle born 1841 Washington Elkhart IN ddied 17 Aug 1904 Hull IA. Mother – Martha Jane Lenty 1847-1935 both buried in Hope Cemetery Hull IA. Children were – Laura, William, Mary, John, Abolene, Elizabeth, Walker, Charles, Earnest and Benjamin. )
