Melle De Jong : Passed Away at Orange City
Death came to Melle De Jong, 73, shortly after nine o’clock Wednesday Nov. 19, 1947 in his home. He had been ailing for a long time with heart trouble and complications, and had been down for the last six weeks. Funeral services were held Saturday Nov 22, 1947 at one o’clock in the home and at one-thirty in the First Christian Reformed Church Rev R. Bronkema officiated.
Mr. De Jong who was a retired farmer is survived by his wife and the following children: Minne (Mrs. Ben Gesink), Jennie (Mrs. John Vermeer), Bertha (Mrs Gernt Van Klompenburg) and a son Robert, all of Orange City.
