John A. Van't Hull, 86, of Boring, Ore., formerly of Hull, died Sunday, October 13 in a nursing home in Gresham, Ore.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday in the American Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Donald R. Lenderink officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Mr. Van't Hull was born Feb. 21, 1898, near Hull. He married Bessie Visser Aug. 31, 1920, at Salem, S.D. He was an auto mechanic in several northwest Iowa towns until World War II. He farmed in northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota. The couple moved to Woodstock, Minn. where he was an insurance salesman. Mrs. Van't Hull died May 16, 1970 at Pipestone, Minn. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he was the assistant manager of a trailer court. In June 1983 he moved to Boring and in January 1984 he became a resident of Rest Harbor Care Center in Gresham.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Bonna) Wilson of Boring; one son, Lorin of Houston; one brother, Jake Van't Hull of Hull; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Tracy) Vander Schaaf and Mrs. John (Fanny) Ten Hagen, both of Hull and Mrs. Abe (Coba) Vande Garde of Boyden, and five grandchildren.
