Gertrude Van't Hul, 79, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, April 22, 1986 in a Rock Valley hospital.
Services were held Saturday, April 26 in the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Fred Gunnink officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Van't Hul, the former Gertrude Van Maanen, was born September 24, 1906, in Ireton. She married Bert Van't Hul October 11, 1928, in Rock Valley. The couple farmed east of Rock Valley until his death October 10, 1964. She moved into Rock Valley in 1965 and to Valley Manor Nursing Home in 1982.

Mrs. Van't Hul was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and Martha Circle of the church.

Survivors include four sons, Lawrence, Harlan and Junior, all of Rock Valley and Orville of Hull; six daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Van Beek, Mrs. Louis (Albertha) Altena, and Mrs. Marvin (Harriet) Vande Kamp, all of Rock Valley, Mrs. Norman (Geraldine) Vande Vegte of Inwood, Mrs. Fred (Joyce) Smits of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., and Mrs. Rodney (Joanne) De Weerd of Maurice; three brothers, Gerrit, John and Dick Van Maanen, all of Rock Valley; 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
