Louie Veninga, 81 of Hul IA died Saturday morning Jan 10 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley. Funeral services will be held Wed. Jan 14 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Funeral home of Sioux Center. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery of Hull. Louis Veninga was born Jun 29, 1922 near Perkins IA, the son of Sam and Trientje Landman Veninga. Louis was raised and lived his entire life on his family’s farm northwest of Hull. Louie and his brother, Bill later took over the operation of the farm; living together until Bills death in Sep of 1991. Louie like raising livestock. He fed cattle for many years and also had a fond appreciation for small animals like dogs and cats. Louis lived on the farm until becoming a resident of Valley Manor in Rock Valley on March 3, 1995.
Louie is survived by his brother and sister in law, Tenas and Joanne DeJong of Tustin CA; sister in law, Sylvia Mrs. Richard Veninga of Hull;
Two nieces (daughters of Tenas) Linda Mrs. Richard Cicconi and Karen Mrs. Frank Allen of California; Two nephews David and Paul DeJong of Dickens IA; Five great nieces and nephews.
Louie was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Martha, and three brothers, John, Richard and William Veninga.
