MRS. JOE DE JONG, HULL
Feb. 3, 1900----April 24, 1936
Funeral services for Mrs. Joe De Jong, 36, who passed away Friday, April 24 th after a three week’s illness were held Tues. in the First Ref. Church at Hull. Rev. G. Douwstra of Hull and Rev. J. Brink of Boyden officiated. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Sioux Center.
Mrs. Joe De Jong, nee Elizabeth Vande Gaarde, was born Feb. 3, 1900 at Boyden , Iowa. In January 1919 she was married to Joe De Jong. Five children were born to them all of whom are living, Geneva, Gerard, Cornelia, Arthur and James.
Besides her husband and children she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Vande Gaarde of Boyden and five brothers, John of Sioux Center, George of Hull, Simon of Orange City, William of Sibley and Abe of Boyden.
