Jacob Van't Hul, 94, of Hull died Friday, Feb. 4, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 7, at the First Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Gerald Vander Velde officiating. Interment was at Hope Cemetery in Hull. Arrangements were made by the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Mr. Van't Hul was born Dec. 5, 1899, in Sioux County, the son of Dries and Fannie (Van Berkum) Van't Hul. He was raised at Hull.

On Dec. 31, 1920, he married Winnie De Weerd at Hull. They farmed in the Hull and Doon areas and also in South Dakota. In later years, they moved to Chicago. In April of 1971, they retired to Hull. They both became residents of Pleasant Acres in June 1987. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull.

Survivors include his wife; five children and their spouses, Dorothy and John Alsterda of Neosho, Mo., Arthur and Barbara Van't Hul of Bozeman, Mont., Anna Mae and Al Cleveringa of Lake Havazu City, Ariz., Mabel and Wayne Johnson of Sun City, Ariz., and Andrew and Laura Van't Hul of Astoria, Ore.; 17 grandchildren, 19-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Fannie Ten Haken of Hull and Coba Vande Garde of Boyden.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Bert, Bill, John and Herman; and two sisters, Grace Kosters and Tracy Vander Schaaf.
