Mrs. Elizabeth Wabeke, age 82, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, at her residence in Orange City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, at 1:30 p.m., at the First Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. Cecil Martens officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.

Elizabeth was born May 16, 1903 near Hospers, the daughter of Arie Muilenburg and Frances Van Iperen Muilenburg. On Feb. 24, 1920 she married Gerrit J. Wabeke at Pipestone, Minn. For many years they farmed in the Maurice area, retiring to Orange City several years ago. Mr. Wabeke passed away April 7, 1975.

Mrs. Wabeke was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include a sister Mary Van Bockel of Minneapolis.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister, Alvin, Arie, Joe, Bas, John, Helen and Bert.
