Isaac Kuipers, 70, died suddenly Friday [Jan. 18] at his home in Hull. Services were Tuesday at the First Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. David Ter Beest officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull under the direction of the Kraai Funeral Home.
Mr. Kuipers was born Oct. 11, 1909, at Hull. He married Matilda Vander Vliet June 27, 1934, in Hull. He was custodian of the First Reformed Church, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Gertrude) Te Slaa of Hull, Mrs. Vern (Hermina) Hamann of Rock Valley and Mrs. Richard (Karen) Dykstra of Worthington, Minn.; two sons, Gradus of Hull and Gerritt of Jasper, Minn.; one brother, William of Hull; three sisters, Mrs. Sidney Boogard of Little Rock, Mrs. Gerrit Hulstein of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Mrs. Dick De Vries of Sanborn; 15 grandchildren.

Similar obituaries appeared in the Rock Valley Bee (Jan. 30, 1980) and the Doon Press (Jan. 24, 1980). The Rock Valley Bee adds that he had farmed in the Hull area.
His parents were Gerrit R. Kuipers and Gertie VanderKooi (Iowa 1925 census).
