Young Mother, 22, Dies At Sioux Falls

Mrs. Cornie Van Velzen of Sioux Falls passed away early Saturday morning [July 16] about four hours after the birth of her first child, a baby boy.

She was the wife of Cornie Van Velzen, who is a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. John Van Oosbree of Sioux Center. She is survived by her grief-stricken young husband and infant son. Funeral services were held Monday at the Miller Funeral home in Sioux Falls, with Rev. Van Bruggen of the Chr. Ref. Church officiating.

The John Van Oosbree family left here Monday noon to be present at the last rites.
