The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Benson(actually it was Marion Benson) aged two months died June 4th. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community.
(This has to be the Carl Benson noted in the Sioux County cemetery index as sied 4 Jun 1898 2 months and 28 days old, son of M and D/E. Further investigation shows that in 1900 census of Grant Tsp Sioux Co. Marion Benson b. Dec 1862 New York, wife Eldora (Parker) b. Mar 1867 WI, had two children Earl L. 11, and Jay 6. Living with them was Eldora's father John L. Parker. His wife was Sarah N. Church. In the 1910 census there were two more children in this family Harvey 4, and Burton 2.)
