Hawarden Independent August 21, 1913

Bryan William Wallace, the young son of Mr. & Mrs. J. W. Wallace of this city, died Tuesday morning following an illness of many weeks of typhoid fever.

He was born on a farm near Alcester, Sept. 9, 1900, but for the past eight years has resided with his parents in Hawarden, where he has attended school and has ever been a general favorite among his young playmates. His death is a sad blow to the grief stricken parents who have the sympathy of all in their deep sorrow. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church in this city yesterday afternoon. Rev. V. A. Weir preaching the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the cemetery at Alcester. Mrs. Sam Snodgrass of Omaha, a sister of Mrs. Wallace, was here to attend the funeral.
