Mrs. Ward Estes of Rapid City, SD, the former Maude Hedden of Hawarden, died Monday, May 27, following a lengthy illness, according to word received here last week.

Mr. & Mrs. Estes, who attended Hawarden schools, were married in Hawarden. She was 77 years old.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary, Mrs. Harold Hayes of Rapid City; one son, Warren of Sturgis; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Younie of Sioux City and Mrs. Dorothy Finch of Rapid City; a brother, Frank Hedden of Sturgis; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
