Leona Erickson, 81, of Sioux Center died Saturday, August 8, at Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, at Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with burial at Dell Rapids (South Dakota) Cemetery.

The former Leona Neuharth was born May 3, 1911, at Virgil, South Dakota. She married Adolph Erickson March 1, 1937, at Alpena, South Dakota. The couple resided at Dell Rapids for several years. He died in 1968 and she moved to Sioux Falls in 1970. She was employed as a nurse's aide at McKennan Hospital for four years. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

Survivors include one son, Lee Erickson of Sioux Center; one daughter, Dawn Pontow of Sarasota, Florida; a brother, Ralph Neuharth of Auburn, Washington; a sister, Edna Graham of Rupert, Idaho; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
