Mr. and Mrs. John Eriksen of Hawarden received word that their son, George Eriksen, of Poulsbo, Wash., was killed Monday night [Jan. 7] while on duty as a switchman. No further particulars concerning the tragedy were learned.

He was married at Poulsbo four years ago and to this union were born two daughters, Carolyn and Georgia, who, with their mother, survive him. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eriksen of Hawarden; four sisters and three brothers--Mrs. Theodore Youngkin and John of Hawarden, Mrs. Thomas Dalton of Akron, Mrs. Ray Talsma and Earling Eriksen of Sioux City, Sveere Eriksen of Glendale, Calif., and Eva Eriksen of Chico, Calif.
