Funeral services for Mrs. Charles A. Walhof, 90, longtime former Rock Valley resident, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 12, in the Pioneer Methodist Church of Rock Valley.

Rev. Mervin Nelson officiated. Interment was in Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. Mrs. Walhof died in a Salem, Oregon hospital Tuesday, July 9 after a long illness.

The deceased the former Wilhelmina (Willmina) Jongewaard was born in Orange City, Feb. 12, 1872*.

She lived in Rock Valley following her marriage to Charles A. Walhof. Following Mr. Walhof's death she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Park Anderson, Marshalltown, for 13 years, and later in Boyce Sanitarium, Salem, Oregon.

Mrs. Walhof broke her hip in February and has been blind for many years.

Survivors include a son, Bernard, Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Park (Helen Ruth) Anderson, Salem, Oregon; eight grandchildren and a great grandchild.

*NOTE: She was born in the year 1874.
