Ben Eppinga, 73, of Rock Valley, died Saturday [May 28] at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Netherlands Reformed Church in Rock Valley. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley. Visitation was from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mr. Eppings was born on July 30, 1909 at Perkins. He attended country school and married Jeanetta Van Kekerix on Dec. 24, 1944, at Luverne, Minn. He farmed in the Rock Valley area his entire life.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Joyce) Oostenink of Hull and Mrs. Daryl (Sandi) Scholten of Rock Valley; a brother, Dick of Rock Valley; a sister, Mrs. Tuenis[Teunis?] Van Middendorp of Rock Rapids, and seven grandchildren.
