Margaret Ten Napel,81, of Ireton died Sunday, Dec 25,1994 at the Nursing Wing of the Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at the Christan Reformed Church in Ireton. The Rev. Gary Luurtsema officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Poter-Dow Funeral Home, Ireton.

Margaret was born Oct. 21 1913 in Morris, Minn., the daughter of Fred and Anna (Vander Ven)Koopmans. The family moved to the Hawarden area in 1916; the Alcester, S.D. area in 1918 and the Ireton area in 1923. She married Harm Ten Napels June 14, 1933 at Ireton. The couple farmed near Bigelow, Minn., from 1948-1962 when they began farming near Ireon. They retired to Ireton in 1974. He died Oct. 15, 1989. She moved to Pleasant Acres Care Center at Hull in 1992 and to the Nursing Wing in January 1993.

Survivors include six sons and their wives, Marvin and Celia and Fred and Shirley, all of Ireton, Leroy and Elaine of Sibly, Don and Sherri of Sioux Center, Vernon and Elaine of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Marlow and Nancy of Leighton; Three daughters and their husband, Dorothy and Myron Vander Wilt of Hospers, Anita and Geral Weg of Bigelow, Minn., and Valerie and Dan Westra of Waupun, Wis.; 37 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a brother Arven Koopmans of Seattle, Wash., and two sisters, Mrs. Andy (Jen) Anema and Mrs. Earl (Henrietta) Kooi, both of Ireton.
