Priscilla Vande Kamp, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2000 at Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Services were Thursday, Jan. 5,2000 at First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, with the Rev. John Engbers officiating. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley, under the direction of Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.
Priscilla Vande Kamp, daughter of Clarence and Agnes (Duimstra) Otten, was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Doon. She married Gerrit Vande Kamp on Sept. 22, 1950, in Doon. He entered the U.S. Army and they lived in Texas, Georgia, Florida and California until his discharge in 1952. They moved back to the Rock Valley area where they farmed until moving into Rock Valley in 1993. She was active in the Ruth Circle at First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley.
Survivors include her husband, Gerrit Vande Kamp; two sons, Gary and Gloria Vande Kamp of Tulsa, OK, and Randy and Mary Vande Kamp of Rock Valley; a daughter, Pat and Randy Byl of Rock Valley; 10 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; a brother, Jim and Velm Otten of Grand Rapids, MI; a sister-in-law, Mildred Otten of Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by an infant brother and a brother, John Otten.
