On Tuesday occurred the death of Nellie Van Wechel at the tender age of eleven years. Deceased attended school on Friday last and seemed to be in good health, Saturday she was seized by an attack of la grippe and colic. A high degree of fever set in Sunday and early Tuesday morning she died. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon, a great many sorrowing friends attending. The bereaved parents, sisters and brothers have the sympathy of the entire community. At present writing Minnie sister to the deceased is very low with appendicitis.
( She was the daughter of Arend Van Wechel 9 Oct 1831 born Lochem Geld Neth. died 2 mar 1914 Orange City, and his second wife Fanny Mieras 1854 -1946.)
