Marvin J. Van Tol, son of Mynard and Jeanette Van Tol, was born in Doon, Ia on Oct. 18, 1935. At the age of 9 years, in 1944, he moved with his family to a farm near Sanborn,Ta. He attended the Doon and Sanborn Christian Schools.
He was united in marriage to Jayne Westerman of Sanborn, Ia. on May 15, 1957 at the Christian Reformed Church of Sanborn. Their entire married life was lived farming west of Sanborn. He passed away suddenly at Community Memorial Hospital at Sheldon, Ia. on Feb. 27, 1983 at the age of 47 years, 4 months and 9 days.
He is survived by his wife, ,Tayne, of Sanborn; three daughters, Lavonne (Mrs. Ivan
Tinkleberg) of Holland, Minn., Tamara and Sheila at home; one granddaughter, Angela
Marie; his parents, Mynard and Jeanette Van Tol of Sanborn; one brother, LeRoy of Melvin, Ia.; and one sister, Noreen (Mrs. Burdelle Krikke) of Sanborn, Ia.
He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Sanborn, a board member of the Sanborn Christian School and former chairman, a former member of the Sanborn
Co-op Elevator Board.
