Annie Van Bruggen Smit was born April 2, 1914 at Litchville, ND. She was united in marriage with Sam Smit on March 17, 1938 at Sheldon, IA. She passed away very suddenly at her home on Thursday, May 28, 1981 at the age of 67 years, 1 month, and 26 days.
Left to mourn are her husband, 3 daughters: Elaine (Mrs. Edward Kats) of Rock Valley, Aletha (Mrs. Ivan Blom) of Aurora, Co., Sandy (Mrs. Verlyn Baker) of Dayton, OR, 2 sons: Arvin of Woodstock, Mn, Paul of Hospers, Ia., 2 sisters: Allie (Mrs. Werner Lode)Sheldon,Ia, Grace (Mrs. George Sierdsma) of Tulare, CA, 1 brother: Gerrit Van Bruggen of Sheldon, Ia. and 25 grandchildren. Her parents and 2 sons, James and Kenneth, preceded her in death.
