Celia was the daughter of Bert Vanden Berg and Winnie Hubers Vanden Berg. As a child, she moved to Rock Valley with her family.
On August 6, 1926, she married George Vande Kamp,
Sr., at Rock Valley. They farmed in the Orange City,Sioux Center, Hawarden, and Ireton areas. In 1963, they moved into Orange City. From 1966 to 1972, Mr. and Mrs. Vande Kamp were custodians of Unity Christian High School. In 1986, they became residents of the Pioneer Memorial Home.
She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband; six sons, Gerrit,
Hubert, and Marvin, all of Rock Valley; George, Jr. of Nevada; Allan of Rock Valley; and Vernon of Orange City; five daughters, Winnifred (Alfred) De Jong of Ireton; Geraldine (John) Van Holland of Rock Valley;
Geneva (Leonard) Vanden Bosch of Doon; Celia (Marvin)Ten Napel of Ireton; and Norma (Nelson) Nikkel of Sully;sons-in-law and daughters-in-law; 44 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gertrude Dc Ruyter, Jo Altena, and Bernice De Groot, all of Rock Valley; and
Winnifred Altena of Ireton; and brother, Darrell Vanden Berg of Rock Valley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerrit Vanden Berg.
After the commital service at the cemetery, relatives and friends are invited to join the family in the church fellowship hail, on the lower level, for refreshments and fellowship.
