Mrs. Martin Uittenbogaard, the former Sylvia Talsma, was born November 1, 1916 in Racine WI. She was married April 22, 1938 in Chicago Il. The couple moved to the Sheldon area in 1957 where they engaged in farming. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church , Christian Fellowship Society, and Christian School Auxilliary.
She is survived by the widower, Martin; five daughters: Glenda (Mrs. Arwin Van Wyk,
of Colorado Springs, CO, Karen (Mrs. Marlin Vis) of Valley Springs, SD, Mavis(Mrs. Bob Poppema) and Donna (Mrs. Roger Poppema) of Sheldon,IA, one son: Marty Jay of Sheldon; one brother: Carl Talsma of Racine, WI, 17 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
