Edward Alexander Bullock, 95, of Orange City died Saturday, May 27, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City. Services were Tuesday at First Reformed Church Chapel in Orange City with the Rev. Steven Vander Molen officiating. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Bullock was born on October 29, 1899, in Litholopolis, Ohio, the son of William and Mary (Millard) Bullock. In his early years, he worked as a linotype operator in the newspaper business and served in the United States Navy after World War I. He married Elizabeth Van Olst on June 9, 1923, in Pipestone, Minnesota. The couple lived in Jackson, Michigan, for many years where he worked for Yardman Inc., a manufacturer of lawn mowers. They later moved to Hawarden, where he operated a lawn-mower repair business, and then moved to Florida.

In 1983, they moved to Orange City, where Mrs. Bullock died on September 5, 1983. Bullock then became a resident of the Pioneer Memorial Home in Orange City, transferring to the Heritage House in 1987.

Bullock was a member of First Reformed Church and the American Legion.

Survivors include his son, Don W., of Barefoot Bay, Florida, and his daughter, Rose Anne, of Somerset, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
