Alton Democrat of April 17, 1897
Mrs. G. Zoet who has been sick since January 10th died Sunday night. The funeral was held Tuesday.
(The only thing found in the period records was an article in the Volksvriend April 1897 that Mrs. Gerrit Zoet had died at 69 yrs. No further information was found. Here death was also listed in funerals of REv. DePree of Sioux Center.)
