Mrs. Ted Heemstra, 85, of Orange City, died April 14 at the Orange City hospital.
Services were held April 17 at the First Reformed Church of Orange City with The Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the
Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
Mrs. Heemstra, the former Arta Reekers, was born May 30, 1894, at Orange City. She was married March 30, 1916. at Orange City. They farmed
in the Orange City area, and retired to Orange City in 1953. Mr. Heemstra died October 6, 1978.
Mrs. Heemstra was a member of the First Reformed Church and the Dorcas Circle of the church.
Survivors include one son, Merlyn, of Orange City; four daughters, Mrs. Dick (Jean) Van Zanten of Le Mars.
Mrs. Jack (Elynor) Vander Wilt of Orange City, Mrs. John (Audrey)Landcgent of Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Don (Carole) Kempema of Grandville,
Michigan. Also 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
