From the Alton Democrat of March 6, 1897
Mrs. A. Christianson died Thursday of last week at herhome near Carnes, after a three month's illness. The funeral was held from the home last Saturday, conducted by Rev. Hgortwang of Ft. Dodge. interment in the cemetery west of this city.
(She is listed in the Sioux county cemetery index as a WPA listing only, Sofia/Sophia Christianson died 24 Feb 1897 at 52 years buried in Nassau Tsp. Cemtery Alton IA. In the 1885 census of Nassau Tsp Sioux County - The family of Andrew Christianson born abt 1845 Denmark, wife Sophia born about 1845 Denmark and child Carolina age 12. They were listed with Hans and Eliza Christianson Paulson who were possibly brother and sister to Sophia.)

Death and Burial of Mrs. A. Christianson.
On Thursday, February 25, Mrs. A.(Andrew)Christianson died at her home in Fredonia township near Carnes after an illness of about two weeks. Mrs. Christianson was born in Denmark near Copenhagen about 62 years ago and had lived
in northeast Plymonth county since 1884.
She was a life-long member of the Lutheran church and a devout christian women. The funeral was held at Alton on Saturday, February 27, within a day or two of a year before, her mother,
Mrs. Paulson died in Palo Alto county in the 90th year of her age.
