Mrs. Able De Groot of Maurice, one of the oldest resident of Sioux County, passed away at her home June 7 at 1:30 a.m.She was 94.

Sadie Jansma was born in the Netherlands, she came to this country at the age of 28. She married Able De Groot in Kalamazoo, Mich.and four children were born to them. Harry of Doon, Charles who passed away 10 years ago at Sioux Falls, a baby son who died in infancy, and George of Maurice. Her husband died in 1926. Nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survived. She had lived in Maurice 38 years.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the home at Maurice and at 1:30 in the First Reformed church there with Rev. J. Roggen officiating. Burial took place in the Ireton cemetery
