Dick Eilers, 73, of Craig died Tuesday at the Hawarden hospital after an illness of a week.

Mr. Eilers was born June 30, 1878, in Illinois. Later he moved with his parents to Arkansas and many years ago he moved to Ireton. In 1927 he moved to Craig and was engaged in the trucking business.

Following the death of his father, he lived with his mother, Mrs. Lena Eilers until five years ago when she died. Since then he continued to make his home at Craig.

He is survived by three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Chas. Bultman of Hawarden, and Mrs. Ed Schuette, Mrs. Anna Schuette and John, Henry, William and Louis Eilers of Craig.
