From the Sioux Center News of Oct 20, 1932.
Mrs. Ralph Heemstra, of Maurice, died suddenly from heart failure on Oct 13 at her home. She had not been previously ill in any way, and was greeting her daughter Johanna who had just returned from school, when she dropped dead on the ground, just in front of the house. The doctor was immediately summoned and declared heart failure to be the cause of her sudden death.

Mr. Heemstra was well known in this community, having lived on the farm one mile north of Maurice for severl years. Hosts of sympatheitc friends and relatives mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Frist Ref. Church of Maurice, Rev. Straks conducting the services. Internment took place at the Orange City Cemetery.
