Charles Carr Died Monday
Passed away in Sioux City after brief illness.
Was 53 years old and lived in this city many years Leaves widow, parents and two brothers.
Charles G. Carr former well known Hawarden resident died in a Sioux City hospital late Monday afternoon following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at Rutledge's mortuary in Sioux City at 1 o'clock this afternoon after which the remains will be brought to Hawarden for interment in the family lot in Grace Hill cemetery. Six members .of
the Eagles lodge of Sioux City will be
pallbearers.
Charles Gilbert Carr was born at Radcliffe, Iowa, July 13,1885, so was past 53 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Hawarden with his parents as a small boy and grew to manhood in this city and community.
He left Hawarden nearly twenty years ago, since which time he has resided in Sioux City, making only occasional visits here. He was the eldest
son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carr, longtime residents of Hawarden, and besides his parents he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edna Carr, and two brothers Roy Carr of Hawarden and Earl Carr of Radcliffe, Iowa. One brother, Warren Carr, died in 1919.
He was a member of Sioux City Fraternal Order of Eagles.
