Howard F. Miller
Howard F. Miller, age 68, of rural Hudson, So. Dak. died Sunday,
February 2, 1992 at Sioux Valley Hospital of Sioux Falls, S.D. Services will begin at 2 p.m. (today) Wednesday at the Hudson Lutheran Church of Hudson, S.D. Burial will be at Eden Cemetery of Hudson. Rev. Lyle Inglebret will be officiating. Visitation will begin noon Tuesday with a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home of Hudson.
Howard was born December 14,1923 in Sioux county, IA. He was the son of Albert and Adeline (Schuldt) Miller.
He graduated from the Hudson High School in 1941 and began farming NE of Hudson. Howard married Nila Homandberg April 1, 1945 at Hudson.
Howard was a past council member of the Hudson Lutheran Church, past president of the Hudson Community club, past board member of the Rock
Valley Community Oil Company, and since his kidney transplant December 14, 1986, was involved with LifeSource-Upper Midwest Organ
Procurement Organization of Minneapolis, MN, and was an M 2 sponsor at the South Dakota Prison.
Surviving relatives include one son, Dale of Isla Vista, California; three daughters, Mrs. Bud (Linda) Walling of Mesa, Arizona, Mrs. Bob (Marlys) Brown and Mrs. Bob (Cindy) Scott, both of Alcester, SD; one brother, Roger Miller of Sioux Falls, SD; four sisters, Mrs. Bill (Hilda) Chapman of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Austin (Doris)
Magee of Plantation, Florida, Mrs. Bill (Jo) Van Maanen of Rock Valley, IA and Mrs. Jerry (Mary) Jensen of Hawarden, IA; 10 grandchildren; and
one great-granddaughter.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Adeline; and one brother, Harvey.
