Miss Doris Boyd passed away suddenly last Friday afternoon on her 48th birthday at the parsonage home of Rev. and Mrs. W. V. Bell. Miss Boyd was a double cousin of Mrs. Bell. Her home was in Indianapolis. Mrs. Bell accompanied the body to Indianapolis, leaving here Sunday morning. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon.
Miss Boyd came to make her home with Rev. and Mrs. Bell last May when it was discovered that she was a sufferer from cancer. She was, however, able to be up and around until about two weeks ago when a blood clot developed in her right leg. This condition had improved and she was able to sit up a little each day. Last Friday, when attempting to sit up, another blood clot in her heart took her life.
