Mrs. Frank Lang Dies At Age 66
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Lang. 66. former Hawarden resident and mother of William Lang vho died early Mondy at Rcchester,N. Y.. where she had been hospitalized about a year, were held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning with burial there.
Helen Smider was born September 8. 1S96, at Perkinsville, N. Y. She married Frank Lang and they came to Hawarden in 1918. Several of their 10 children were born in Hawarden where they attended St. Mary's Catholic church.
In 1941 they moved to Rochester where he continued working as a mechanic, having been employed for a number of garages in this area including the Chevrolet garage when it was owned by the late Mike Engeldinger.
Survivors beside the widower; are seven sons, Tom of Sidney,Neb., Bob of San Diego, Calif..
Bill of Hawarden, John of Pine Bluff. Wyo. Jim of Atlanta. Ga,. Francis and Michael, both of Rochester. N. Y.: three daughters, Mrs. Bob Aldrich. Mrs. Ed Hewitt and Mrs. Robert Washington, all of Rochester. N. Y. and 29 grandchildren.
John Lang came from Wyoming Monday night and he and Bill drove through to Rochester for the funeral.
