Funeral services were held for Thoedore A. Hemmingson,70, of Alton, Thursday August 14, at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. Norbert Bies officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direrction of Fisch Funeral home of Remsen, Rosary was recited Wednesday at 3 and 8 p.m. in the parish hall. Mr. Hemmingson died Monday, August,11 at the Orange City
hospital.

Theodore Hemmingson was born April 20, 1899 in Sioux county of which he was a lifelong resident. He married Mary Gacke, November 22, 1921 in Rock Valley. He was a maintenance engineer for Sioux County.

Survivors are his widow a daughter Mrs. Robert Miller of Fort Dodge, two sisters Mrs. T.A. Rice of Rock Valley and Johanna Hemmingson of Hawarden;a brother Kearney Hemmingson of Hawarden; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren
