Mr. Harold Geurink age,76, of rural Orange City, Iowa passed away Thursday February 4, 1999 at the Floyd Valley Hospitial in Le Mars, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 8, 1999 at 2:00 p.m., at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City. The Rev. Robert Vander Schaaf officiated with Interment following at Nassau Township Cemetery, Near Alton.

Harold Ernest was born December 3,1922, in rural Orange City, the son of Evert and Abby (Scholten)Geurink. Her served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Harold lived on the same farm south of Orange City all his life. In addition to farming, he also did some woodworking as a carpenter and furniture refinsher. He was a baptized member of the Alton Reformed Church

Survivors include his brother William Geurink of rural Orange City, two sisters, Anna Marie and her husband Robert Kolberg of Gayville, South Dakota, and Henrietta Slobe of Huntsville Alabama; and nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Stanley Slobe.
