Lester William Moget,71,of Sioux Center died Saturday,November 23, at Sioux Valley Hospitial in Sioux Falls'

A memorial services was at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Raymond V. "Van" Rathbun officiating. Burial was prior to the service at Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Lester was born October 18, 1931, in Clinton, the son of the Rev. Marinus and Josie(Tabbert) Moget. He was raised in Iowa, South Dakota and Canada. On December14, 1953, he Married Elizabeth Hoogland at Doon. After living in Michigan for one year, they returned to Iowa. They settled at Middleburg, where they served as custodians of the Free Grace Reformed Church for 17 years. He was also employed by several manufacturers in Sioux County, Later they moved to Sioux Center where he assisted his son at Moget's Care Care. and Body shop for 15 years.

He was a member of Central Reformed Church. After being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease several years ago. He especially appreciated the church radio and TV ministries. He enjoyed tinkering on antique cars, and his pride and joy was a black and white 1956 Chevrolet. He and his wife joined the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and traveled to many car shows.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years; a daughter and her husband,Linda and Harlyn Bolkema of Boyden; three sons Gary Moget and his wife Marlyn, Rod Moget and his wife Joanne, and Darrell Moget, all of Sioux Center; nine Granchildren; and a brother, Don Moget of Kansas City,Missouri. He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Harold.
