Wesley Frank Miller, 88, of Rock Valley, died Saturday, March 1, in a hospital in Rock Valley.
Services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Ron Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran cemetery, rural Sioux Center.
Mr. Miller was born January 21, 1898, rural Rock Valley. He attended rural school Rock Valley High School and Mankato MN commercial college. He married Alm Wegner January 26, 1921, at Hawarden. They farmed south of Rock Valley until 1951 when they retired and moved into Rock Valley.
Mr. Miller was a longtime member of the REA Board, Coop Oil Co., and Sioux County AAA farm program Committee. He was a director of German Farmers Mutual Insurance and Farmers Coop Elevator. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Chruch.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gordon, of Rock Valley and Dr. Glenn of Bloomington IN; a daughter Mrs. Paul Elaine Beumer of Rock Valley; a brother, Lou of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister Emma
Plunkett of Minneapolis; 10 grand and 13 great grandchildren.
