Death of Mrs. John Miller former Garfield Township Resident Passed away Saturday morning.
Mrs. John Miller passed away at her home at Rock Valley at 9 o'clock Saturday morning from cancer, having been a sufferer for two and one half years. She was able to be up and around until Christmas Day when she became worse and she failed rapidly until the end came peacefully Saturday morning. She, together with her husband made frequent trips to Rochester MN, where she took radium treatments in an effort to overcome her ailment.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, a brief service being held at 1:30 at the home and then the large assembly of relatives and friends followed the remains to the German Lutheran Church in Plato township of which she was a devoted member for many years. Rev. Bretthauser preached a splendid sermon, paying well deserved tributes of praise to the life and character of this splendid Christian woman. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery beside her children who had preceded her in death.
