Funeral services for Albert Miller, 62, lifelong resident of the Hudson Community who died Friday at the Hawarden hospital, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Hudson Lutheran church. Burial was in the Hudson cemetery.
Mr. Miller, a farmer, had been active in church and community affairs. Mr. Miller was born March 6, 1894, in Garfield township of Sioux county, He was baptized and confirmed in the Peace Lutheran church.
On October 10, 1917, he married Adeline Schuldt. To this union seven children were born.
He spent his life farming in Garfield township, near Hudson. At various times he was assessor of Garfield township and secretary of the school board and was a member of the Hudson Coummunity club. In 1926 he joined the Hudson Lutheran church, became a member of the Lutheran Brotherhood and was deacon of this church.
Surviviors include the widow, Adeline; four daughters, Misses JoAnn and Marilyn, both at home, Mrs. William Chapman of Brownwood TX, and Mrs. Austin Magen of Miami FL., and three sons, Roger at home and Harvery and Howard, both of Hudson.
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ida Miller of Rock Valley; four brothers, Harry of Hudson and Ernest, Clarence and Elmer of Rock Valley, and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Miller, and two brothers, Frank and Bill.
