Rites held Monday at Sheldon,Hospers, for Mrs. Rose Dyke

Sheldon--Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Dyke,87, who died last Thursday after a brief illness, were held Monday at the Vander Ploeg funeral home and at the Hospers Presbyterian church, Rev. Henry Rikkers officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mrs.Dyke nee Roosma was born April 8, 1873 in the Netherland. She married Nicholas Dyke and he passed away 1940.She was a Hospers resident 51 years, and the last 16 years lived in Sheldon.

Suvivors include eight daughters; Mrs. Ben Vanden Berg of Alton, Mrs. Dick Schaafsma of Hospers, Margaret and Rose and Claire Brown, all of Sheldon, Sarah and Julia both of Riverside, Ill., and Mrs. Harley J. McAllister of Burlingame, Calif., two sons, Sherman of Sioux City and Lester of Lake Park, a brother Ray Roosma of Hospers, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren
