John Newendorp passed away at his home on Wednesday, October, at the age of 67 years. Funeral services were held Saturday at the home and at the First Reformed Church. Burial was at the local cemertery.

John Newendorp was born at Orange City on August 9, 1878. He was united in marriage to Julia De Jong on December 31, 1902, and to this union were born five children, Nelson of Le Mars, Veron of Alton, Gladys(Mrs. Vernon Dowma)of Sioux City and Robert and Kenneth , both in the service, Robert stationed in the Phillppine Islands.

Surviving are the wife and five childeren and eight grandchildren. Also three brothers and sisters, Mrs. Chtistina De Jong and Mrs. Mary Kraai, both of Orange City, Fred Newendorp of Jefferson, Iowa and Henry Newendorp of Long Beach, Calif.
