Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Church for Mrs. Charlotte Brandt, who passed away at the Canton hospital on May 10, 1952, at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 27 days. The services were conducted by Rev. M. L. Jones, Pastor. Mrs. Ed De Haas sang two numbers. Mrs. E. R. Haas accompanied her.

Charlotte Frazier was born at Aberdeen, Scotland, July 14, 1868. She was the last of six children. She came to the United States with her folks at the age of 13, settling at Aurelia, Iowa. She was married to Fred C. Brandt in 1888, then moved to the present farm home south of Rock Valley. To this union four children were born, one son Wallace, passed away in 1898. Her husband preceded her in death on March 11, 1918. The children left to mourn are two sons, Fred A. Brandt and Edward of Rock Valley and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Moeller of Ireton, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She has been ill for six months, the last six weeks she has been in the Canton-Inwood hospital.

Interment was in Valley View Cemetery.
