Milton Dittmer, 90, of Ireton, died January 8 in the Hawarden hospital. Services were January 10 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. with the Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton.

Dittmer was born August 12, 1899, in Ireton. He married Amanda Ricklefs December 10, 1924, at Ireton. The couple farmed northeast of Ireton until March 1, 1964, when they retired and moved into town. She died November 27, 1976. Dittmer was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Dittmer, his wife, a brother, Delbert, and a sister, Bernice Twillman.
