Rites Held For Clinton O'Meara

Last rites were held at Faulkton, S. D., Saturday morning for Clinton O'Meara, 46, who died in a hospital in Alaska last Wednesday. Burial was at Anchorage, Alaska.

About ten years ago Mr. O'Meara went to Alaska to work on the Alcan highway being constructed at that time. There he contracted tuberculosis and was hospitalized most of the time. His sister, Mrs. Eva Conway, who lives at Fairbanks, Alaska, visited him late in November before, coming to the states for a visit.

Mr. O'Meara, who was born on a farm near Hawarden, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James O'Meara, was married to Marcella Huss at Faulkton, South Dakota, about 25 years ago. There they made their home, where his family now resides.

Besides the widow, he is survived by three daughters, Joanne, Joyce, and Jean; a son, Tom; and 15 brothers and sisters, including Mrs. Durette Ney and Paul O'Meara of Hawarden. He was preceded in death by his mother in July of this year.

Clinton O'Meara in Dies in Alaska
Clinton O'Meara, who was born and raised on a farm ten miles southeast of Hawarden, died in a hospital in Anchorage; Alaska, where he had been ill with tuberculosis for some time.

Clinton was one of' the 16 children of the late Mr. and Mrs. James O'Meara of Hawarden. His mother died here in July of this year.

Word of his death was received by a sister, Mrs; Milo Gruff, at Granville Wednesday. Another sister, Mrs. Durette Ney, resides an Hawarden, A brother, Paul is employed on the Ray Benson Farm.
